Discover Your True Core:
Your Heart and Organs
An Embodied Anatomy and Self-Care Class
with Holly Krebs, Certified Rolfer™ and Body Educator
Your organs are your true core! They are the root of your center and they generate your life force! In this eye-opening class, you’ll learn about your organs and how to sense them inside yourself. You’ll also learn how to move with them, live in them more fully, and better care for them.
Your organs produce your energy, pump your blood, and clean your tissues, and they also make up most of you! They occupy the vast majority of your torso, which means they determine the comfort and alignment of your spine, shoulders, and pelvis. And they provide your deep sense of self. Your organs are remarkable, and they are an integral part of your embodied experience.
In Discover Your True Core you learn about seven of the organs in your torso—your heart, lungs, stomach, liver, small intestine, large intestine, and kidneys! For each of these organs:
We look at images of your organs to teach you a visual roadmap of your internal landscape.
You learn to feel where your organs are inside your body by palpating your organs and perceiving your internal sensations.
You learn exercises to move your organs with your hands and your body movements, which can help your organs move more freely and work better.
You learn what your organs do, how they relate to your skeleton and nervous system, and how they make you feel physically and emotionally.
We also discuss lifestyle practices that support the health of your different organs.
This class gives you a 3D tour of your insides. As you learn your organs’ locations, shapes, functions, relationships, and qualities, you can learn to sense them internally. This increased awareness supports your organs’ health, and it lets you embody more of your parts to expand your sense of self. As you move and live from these deep tissues, you can create more ease, calmness, and fullness in your life.
